Nissan

One can say that Nissan vehicles are often underrated. But despite that, it doesn't stop the company from coming up with a wide range of vehicles you should consider. Nissan has had a bit of a resurgence lately with a bold strategy that recently saw them launch 13 new cars from May 2020 to November 2021. With the way things are going, it might even help shed that underdog status.

Nissan in the Philippines

It may not seem like it, but Nissan has been in the country for well over half a century. They were established here in 1969 with Universal Motors Corporation being the official assembler and distributor. Nissan is one of the few automakers that did not pull out of the country despite the troubles, making them one of the few that continuously sold cars here. Because of that, they have made several memorable models such as the Sentra, Vanette, Cefiro, and Terrano. These days, Nissan Philippines has slimmed down their sedan line-up but have expanded their utility vehicle range.

What are the Nissan models sold in the Philippines?

Nissan used to offer a whole load of sedans back in the day. However, that's not the case anymore. Now, they only have two to offer, namely the Almera and the Sylphy. The Almera is one of the best-sellers here in Automart.PH. On the other hand, Nissan Philippines has a strong line-up of vans, pick-ups, and SUVs. The most affordable Nissan of that type is the Navara, plus it's the only pick-up in the country that has coil springs standard across the line-up. If it's a hauler you need, there's the NV350 Urvan with various configurations. As for the SUVs, the Terra has become one of Nissan's best-sellers since it was launched. Meanwhile, the X-Trail hangs around for those who want a high-riding vehicle without the bulk. But if you want the daddy of all the Nissan SUVs, then look no further than the iconic Patrol. Nissan also offers several specialty vehicles. For sports cars, there's the 370Z and the high-tech powerhouse GT-R. The company even offers the LEAF here, serving as Nissan's entry in the local electric vehicle market.
