2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Launched in the Philippines

It’s not just a best-seller for us at Automart.PH, it’s also been a huge hit for Mitsubishi Motors. We are, of course, talking about the Mirage; the Mirage G4 to be exact. After what seems like an eternity of waiting, Pinoy fans can finally get their hands on the refreshed Mirage G4 sedan.

The Mirage G4 was launched here way back in 2013 as Mitsubishi’s entry in the subcompact sedan class. Its low price at the time made it a popular choice for families and fleets alike. It also has fuel-efficient three-cylinder engine, very timely given rising the endlessly rising fuel prices. However, it’s been a while since Mitsubishi made a significant update to this model. But at long last, the car gets a much fresher look.

For model year 2022, the Mirage G4 gets a new nose with reshaped headlights, grille, and bumper. The result is a sharper design with more defined corners. The back also gets a load of tweaks with new tail lights and, again, a more angular bumper. Also new for 2022 are wheel designs. The middle section of the car is unchanged.

Also mostly unchanged is the interior. There are more color contrast trims to liven it up in there, and it has an upgraded touchscreen with the latest in-car entertainment options. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is now included in the 2022 Mirage G4.

Powering the Mirage G4 is the familiar 1.2-liter, three-cylinder MIVEC engine. The ratings are retained at 78 HP and 100 Nm of torque. Transmission choices are also carried over. These include a five-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is available to order at Mitsubishi dealerships. However, the new Mirage G4 sedan has higher base prices than the outgoing model.

Despite the price hike, the new Mirage G4 is still a solid choice for a reliable, fuel-efficient, and roomy compact sedan.
