SCTEX toll fee increase effective June 1

METRO MANILA, May 31, 2022 – Travellers will need to prepare more money when using the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) starting June 1, 2022.

Operator NLEX Corporation announced in a May 28, 2022 Facebook post that it will charge an additional P0.78 per kilometer for Class 1 vehicles. Meanwhile, drivers of Class 2 and Class 3 vehicles will pay an extra P1.57 and P2.35 per kilometer, respectively. These rates do not include value-added tax.

“Under the new toll fee matrix, motorists with Class 1 vehicles traveling between Mabalacat City to Tarlac will be charged an additional ₱31.00,” the company said. “Motorists with Class 2 vehicles traveling on the same route will pay an additional ₱61.00 and those with Class 3 vehicles will pay an additional ₱92.00.”

“Meanwhile, an additional ₱49.00, ₱98.00, and ₱147.00 will be charged to motorists using Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicles, respectively, traveling between Mabalacat City and Tipo, Hermosa, Bataan (near Subic Freeport),” NLEX Corporation added.

The company said it will offer graduated toll rebates for public utility buses for the next three months.

SCTEX is a 93.7-kilometer, four-lane expressway that spans from the town of Hermosa in Bataan, where it connects with the Subic Freeport Expressway. It also connects with the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Mabalacat City, Pampanga and the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) in Tarlac City.

The SCTEX toll fee hike follows the increases implemented on May 12, 2022 for NLEX and the Manila-Cavite Expressway.
