Details Of 2022 Toyota Raize Leak, Prices Included

Updated on April 25 2024

There are a lot of new cars we are anticipating in 2022. While it might take a while for some of those to arrive here, there is one that might land here sooner than later. That model is the Toyota Raize, and its alleged specifications and prices have leaked out early.

Before we tell you more about the leak, here's a quick background of the Toyota Raize. The Raize is Toyota's smallest crossover to offer in select markets. It is a rebadged version of a Daihatsu model called the Rocky. It measures 4,030 mm long, making it significantly shorter than another Daihatsu-derived Toyota, the Rush. This crossover was introduced in Japan in late 2019 and has been offered to other markets since. The Raize is assembled in one of three assembly plants, namely Japan, Indonesia, or Malaysia.

As for the details, the Raize might be available in four model variants. Most versions are expected to use a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine, while the top-of-the-line version will pack a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbo. The base engine is good for 88 PS and 118 Nm of torque with two gearbox options: a five-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). As for the turbo, that one puts out 98 PS and 140 Nm of torque. Reports say it will only shift with a CVT.

Per the leak, all Raize models come equipped with dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes, and stability control as standard. Higher-spec models will have six airbags, a reverse camera with sensors, rear-cross traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring, along with a fully digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a wide infotainment touchscreen. Base and mid-spec versions use an analog cluster and a smaller touchscreen.

And now, for the variants and pricing. Listed below are the models expected to arrive here based on the leak:

Raize 1.2 E M/T: PHP 746,000
Raize 1.2 E CVT: PHP 816,000
Raize 1.2 G CVT: PHP 906,000
Raize 1.0 Turbo CVT: PHP 1,031,000

There is no definite date for the Raize's local launch for now. It will all depend on the current health crisis, but it is said it could be around the first week of February at the earliest. We at Automart.PH will keep you posted for any updates. And if you're ready to trade up to the Raize, we can help you through our Sell-My-Car program.
