Mitsubishi PH launches Mirage G4 GLS Sport

Mitsubishi PH launches Mirage G4 GLS Sport

Updated on July 25 2024

Late last year, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines launched the heavily facelifted version of the Mirage G4. The popular Mitsubishi sedan received a new look with a totally different front end, new wheels, and a few upgrades inside. It also had a bit of a price increase as the car now retails between PHP 769,000 to PHP 899,000.

But now, MMPC has added another variant for its best-selling sedan. It's called the GLS Sport, and it slots above the GLS model. Not only that, this car is a limited-run model because MMPC will only build 300 units of the GLS Sport.

The main focus here is the exterior. The GLS Sport gets a body kit from front to rear. A deeper chin spoiler makes the car look lower, along with a pair of skirts on the side. At the back, it gets a bumper extension and a trunk lip spoiler for a more dynamic look. The wheels are the same as the standard GLS variant.

As for the interior, it is the same as the GLS. That said, it is loaded with features expected from a modern subcompact sedan. It includes an upgraded touchscreen with the latest in-car entertainment options, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Powering the Mirage G4 GLS Sport is the familiar 1.2-liter, three-cylinder MIVEC engine. The ratings are retained at 78 HP and 100 Nm of torque. The only transmission option is a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Prices start at PHP 929,000.
