All-new 2022 Lexus NX Now Available In The Philippines

Updated on April 22 2024

In the local automotive market, 2022 seems off to a good start. We're not even a week in the year, and three manufacturers have launched new models. Mitsubishi brought in the Montero Sport Black Series, Mazda updated the CX-9 line-up, and even Lexus is getting in on the action.

Lexus Philippines' latest addition to the local line-up is the all-new NX compact crossover. That model made its debut several months ago in the US and Japan, and it's now in the country. That said, the company hasn't formally launched the crossover just yet, but those who are interested may place a reservation.

For the Philippines, Lexus will offer three model grades here. It starts with the NX 350h, followed by the NX 350h Premier, and is topped off by the non-hybrid NX 350 F-Sport. If you've noticed, the base and mid-spec models are hybrids. That's because Lexus, along with Toyota, is going all out with the hybrid push in the Philippines.

The NX 350h and NX 350h Premier are both powered by a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine, along with a pair of electric motors that gets energy from lithium-ion batteries. If the set-up sounds familiar, it's the same arrangement found in the Toyota Camry Hybrid and Lexus ES 300h. However, the combined output is higher in the NX, producing 243 PS and 237 Nm of torque.

If you prefer non-hybrid power, you have to go straight for the NX 350 F-Sport version. The 350 tag does not mean it uses a 3.5-liter V6 engine. Instead, this model has a 2.4-liter turbo that's good for 279 PS and 430 Nm of torque. All NX models to be sold in the Philippines will have all-wheel-drive.

Estimated pricing is listed below:

NX 350h: PHP 3,338,000

NX 350h Premier: PHP 4,488,000

NX 350 F-Sport: PHP 4,548,000

These are not the full details just yet, so stay tuned to the Automart.PH blog if you want to be updated. The official launch date is expected in a few weeks.
