Full specs, pricing of 2022 Kia Carnival now available
Updated on November 12 2024
A few months ago, Kia Philippines announced the arrival of the all-new Carnival in the Philippines. That's following a banner year for the brand and Kia Motors with a substantial growth under Ayala Motors. Keen to expand its market share, Kia Philippines is pleased to announce the availability of the van in the country.
With that, the brand has laid down all of the specs and pricing for the luxury van in the Philippines. Like the all-new Sorento, the redesigned Carnival boasts new Kia logo as it prepares for the future. The all-new Carnival rides on the same platform as the 2022 Sorento, and has styling that looks more like a crossover than minivan. That said, Kia Philippines dubs the new model as a Grand Utility Vehicle.
Inside, it adapts a more modern and minimalist look. Screens dominate the dashboard and it features niceties such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. On top of that, there are USB charging ports on all rows of seats to keep all occupants charged up while on the go. Other interior highlights expected are leather trimmings, Ottoman seats, and a host of other interior creature comforts. Thanks to its larger body, you can also expect more space inside.
Kia put a greater emphasis on luxury, convenience, and safety for the all-new Carnival. For starters, it has a Smart Power Sliding Door, One-touch Power Doors and Tailgate, climate controlled seats, and memory seats for the driver's side.
The Carnival is also one of the first models in the country to offer Rear Occupant Alert to prevent instances of leaving passengers in the vehicle. The sliding doors also have an anti-jam function to avoid untoward incidents. Junction turn assist and rear cross traffic alert means parking lot accidents can be avoided even better. Other smart features include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and assist, and surround-view monitor, just to name a few.
Powering the 2022 Carnival is a 2.2-liter turbodiesel from the Sorento. It's good for 202 horsepower and 441 Nm of torque. Shifting is provided by eight-speed automatic. Stability control and traction control are standard to help keep the luxury minivan on the road.
Prices for the 2022 Kia Carnival are as follows:
Carnival EX: PHP 2,540,000
Carnival SX: PHP 2,998,000
