Honda to launch 2022 Civic on November 23, all models now turbo

It's been six years since the tenth-generation Honda Civic made its global debut. Thanks to its sharp styling, it could be said that the design aged rather well. However, six years is a long time for one Civic generation. But that's about to change because Honda Cars Philippines has announced its launch date for the eleventh-generation Civic.

Not only that, Honda has opened the reservation books for this all-new model. As early as today, you can put your name down even before the official launch. So when is the local debut, you ask? Mark your calendars on November 23, 2021 and catch the livestream at the Honda Cars Philippines Facebook page at 12:30 PM.

Honda also mentioned several interesting things about the upcoming Civic. From now on, all local-spec models will have Honda Sensing Standard. Honda Sensing is the company's active safety system that helps prevent accidents from happening in the first place.

Features include Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW), Auto High-Beam (AHB), Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow (ACC with LSF), and Lead Car Departure Notification System.

Because of all its active safety features, the 2022 Honda Civic was awarded the highest rating possible from the ASEAN New Car Assessment Program (ASEAN NCAP). ASEAN NCAP gave the eleventh-generation Civic the maximum five-star safety rating because of its assists and crash protection performance.

But if that's not exciting enough for you, all Civic models will have turbo power as standard. Yes, even the base model Civic will the boosted 1.5-liter engine that was previously reserved for the RS Turbo. There will be three model grades for the 2022 Civic in the Philippines. These are the Civic S Turbo CVT, Civic V Turbo CVT, and the Civic RS Turbo CVT. Per Honda, prices will range from PHP 1,300,000 to PHP 1,700,000.
