LTO Offices Closed Until Jan. 14 Due To COVID-19 Surge

If you're thinking of heading to your nearest Land Transportation Office center near you, you might want to reschedule. That's because the LTO has announced that they will close their offices in the meantime due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the country.

The government agency said they will remain closed until this Friday, January 14, 2022. Mind you, not all offices will be closed as some operations will remain open. So what areas have the LTO closed off in the meantime? These include the LTO – Central Office located along East Avenue, and most branches of LTO NCR-East.

The closed branches of LTO NCR-East are:

Regional Office

Diliman District Office

Quezon City Licensing Office (QCLC)

Quezon City Licensing Renewal Office (QCLRC)

North Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (NMVIC)

Public Utility Vehicle Registration Center (PUVRC)

If you're in a rush to get some paperwork in order, there are a couple of things you need to remember. For now, the LTO is extending the validity of student permits, driver's licenses and conductor's licenses, just so you can avoid going outside for now. The LTO is also extending the validity of registration for cars with plates that end in 1. But if you really need to go, the agency requires all motorists to present their vaccination cards in all branches.
