NCR Alert Level 4: What You Need To Know

Starting today, September 16, 2021, the National Capital Region (NCR) will be placed under Alert Level 4. This is part of the additional restriction mandated by the government in an attempt to curb the rising cases of the coronavirus. Here's what you need to know.

Per the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), individuals below 18 years old and above 65 years old are not allowed to leave their residences. At the same time, those with immunodeficiencies, comorbidities, or other health risks, and pregnant women are not allowed to leave their homes. However, they may head out to purchase or obtain essential goods and services. Also, exemptions will be made for those working in permitted industries and offices.

What about the places that are open within Alert Level 4? Outdoor or alfresco dine-in restaurants and eateries are allowed to operate at 30 percent capacity. As for indoor dine-in, these places are 10 percent capacity, but only for fully vaccinated persons. Barbershops, hair spas, nail spas, and beauty salons are allowed to operate at 30 percent, for as long as it is done outdoors. Indoor services are at 10 percent capacity, but only for fully vaccinated individuals.

It's similar for religious services and gatherings. 30 percent capacity is allowed while 10 percent in indoor services, only for fully vaccinated individuals. As for necrological services (wake, inurnment, funerals) shall be limited to immediate family members. However, that rule only applies for those who have family members who succumbed to causes other than Covid-19.

Government offices shall remain open at 20 percent capacity. Every place or service not mentioned shall remain closed under Alert Level 4.
