2022 Mitsubishi Strada Black Series Launched, Starts At PHP 1,764,000

For the past couple of years, Mitsubishi has been putting the Black Series label on some of their vehicles. It started with the Montero Sport a few years ago, just before the company launched the facelifted model in late 2019. More recently, the company launched the Xpander Black Series, also right before the they introduced the facelifted model in Indonesia.

Now it's the Strada's turn to get the Black Series treatment. By now, you've probably spotted a pattern as well. But before we get to that, what does the Strada Black Series have to offer? Unlike the previous Black Series models, the Strada is only available in Jet Black. True to its name, all the exterior chrome has been replaced with gloss black trimmings. But that's not the only thing it has to offer.

This model is based on the Athlete 4WD version, so it gets all of the features found in that variant. That means it gets the graphics on the side, and the Athlete's wheel design as well. But the highlight here are in the interior and tech features. Like the Athlete, the Black Series gets the bright orange seen in that model. The Black Series also benefits from several active safety features. This includes Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation System (UMS), Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist (BSW with LCA), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Automatic High-Beam.

Now that the Strada Black Series is out, it does hint that Mitsubishi is getting ready to premiere the next-generation model. Earlier this year, Mitsubishi announced their five-year plan, including the models they will launch in the future. One of the models mentioned was the Strada, and it's set to come out sometime in 2022. As to the exact day, there is a good chance it will be revealed by mid-year with the local launch around 2023.
