2022 Nissan Patrol Royale to Start at PHP 4,548,000

Over a year ago, Nissan launched the new Patrol in the Middle East. After that, it was revealed in other markets such as Australia and the US as the Armada. However, the Philippine market held on to the pre-update model for quite some time.

But for full-sized luxury SUV fans, there's good news from the brand. One year and eight months after its global debut, it has finally landed in the Philippines. Like the Middle East version, the local model benefits from the new front and rear design. It follows the V-Motion design philosophy and it's actually the look that's now applied to the facelifted Navara and heavily updated Terra. Nissan also tweaked the underchassis of the SUV to make it handle better on and off the road.

Like the exterior, the 2022 Patrol's interior was given a complete makeover. Compared to the previous model, this version has angular and upright dashboard. From the infotainment touchscreen to the air-conditioning controls, Nissan revamped its design to follow the new look of Nissan interiors. Nissan even went as far as changing the door cards and instrument clusters. For those who own the current model, it might feel like an all-new one.

On to the features, the infotainment screen boasts a new hardware and software. It includes conveniences such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has the Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) package that helps prevent accidents from happening in the first place. NIM includes rear cross traffic alert, blind sport warning, surround view monitor, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.

The only thing that Nissan carried over from the current Patrol is the engine. It still uses the same 5.6-liter V8 from the past couple of years. This strong eight-cylinder motor packs 400 PS and 560 Nm of torque. The Patrol is not available with a turbodiesel engine.
