This Is Your First Look At The 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor

Updated on April 18 2024

A few months ago, Ford finally revealed the next-generation Ranger. It took over a decade before the all-new model came out, but it seems that the long wait was worth it. From the entry-level model to the Wildtrak, almost every variant of the pick-up was revealed upon its debut.

However, there was one model missing in the global premiere, and that's the high-performance Raptor. For now, Ford is silent about its details, but sharp-eyed Thai motorists were able to catch a glimpse of the fast pick-up. That also means it's everyone's first look at the 2023 Ranger Raptor.

At the moment, the pick-up is still wearing camouflage and appears to be on the way to a teaser shoot. While the wrap does its best to cover up some details, it's not enough to hide all of them. Besides, it is easy to infer the Raptor's look because the standard version is out already.  Nonetheless, let's take a closer look at the spy photos.

True to Raptor from, the new pick-up has bulging fenders at the front and a flared bed at the back. That means the truck has a significantly different suspension set-up and arrangement from the Wildtrak. While the line of thinking is the same as the previous model, we can expect an even more finely-tuned version of the suspension once it's out in the market. Making it look even wider are the black trims on all corners.

It is also worth pointing out that the rear bumper is different from the Wildtrak model. That's to accommodate the minor adjustments made to the bed. The design of the wheels look similar to the previous model, but a closer inspection shows it has different spoke ends. There is no photo of the front end yet, but expect it to have a more aggressive design compared to the Wildtrak.

The launch date is yet to be confirmed for the Ranger Raptor, but it is said that it will be out for the 2023 model year. That means it could debut by the third quarter of 2022 at the earliest.
